The weight of wool that you use will determine final animal size. I use a feltable, heavy 3 ply yarn, bulky weight. Bessie uses size 10 ½ needles, and approximately 150 yards of brown, 60 yards of white, and 30 yards of tan to make the cow shown here. The size of your finished wonder will vary depending on needle size and wool. The finished project is then fulled. Heavy weight gauge- 3 st per inch /5 rows per inch.
