This is an intermediate pattern that uses stockinette stitch, intarsia, short rows, simple embroidery (French Knots), and straight stitches.  The pattern is worked on size 3 needles with approximately 180, yards of sport weight med wine wool yarn, approximately 100 yards sport weight light wine wool yarn, approximately 70 yards of coral worsted weight yarn, 40 yards of light buff wool yarn, 8 yards of light beige yarn in a worsted weight yarn, and scraps of black yarn for the iris.  The suckers are created with a variety of white yarn weights, from 20 yrds sport weight, worsted weight and 8 yrds bulky weight wool yarns.
