This pattern is done in feltable wool yarn, in garter stitch, stockinette stitch, and some chain and crochet stitches. The size of your finished animal may vary depending on the size yarn that your choose, and the size needles. I use a heavy weight 3 ply yarn and size 10 ½ needles. This pattern used approximately 170 yards of gray, 20 yards of white, and 1 yard of pink.
