This pattern is worked on size 10 ½ needles with 20 yards bulky weight yarn for main pattern pieces and pupils.  Use size 1 needles with sport weight yarn for eyes, inner ears, and tip of nose.  This pattern uses stockinette stitch, and short rows.   Intarsia, embroidery techniques, latch hook, French knots and needle felting can be used as desired to create the color patterns that you desire.  Simple chain stitching is used to create small rings.  The pattern also includes a pattern for a small wooden insert to keep your ornament from curling.
