This pattern is done in feltable wool yarn, using stockinette stitch, short rows, and I-cord stitches. Latch hook technique is used for head fringe. The purl side will be the right side. The size of your finished animal may vary depending on the size yarn that your choose, and the size needles. I use a heavy weight 3 ply homespun yarn-approximate(Yarn Gauge -3.5 sts / 5 rows to an inch) and size10 ½ needles. Principesca is worked in about 150 yards of main triple ply wool yarn, approximately 20 yards of heavy weight white, and 20 yards contrast yarn. (Main color for this is white) A medium crochet hook is used for some detail work, and a #16 embroidery needle is used to sew seams.
