This pattern an advanced pattern, worked in feltable wool yarn. It is worked in stockinette stitch, intarsia technique, fair isle, short rows, I-cord, and some beginning crochet stitches. The size of your finished animal will vary depending on the size yarn that your choose, and the size needles. I use a heavy weight 3 ply yarn, or 2 strands of regular weight wool and size 10 ½ needles. You will also need a medium size crochet (H) hook to work the crochet stitching along the back spines. Stan is worked with 160 yards of light main color, 60 yards of dark green, and approximately 50 yards of (medium). I use tan for the main color, (Dark) variegated olive green, and medium in a medium green, but be creative. There are few stegosaurus breeders around to argue confirmation, so use
any colors you desire. Directions for color changes are written as shown. The eyes are made with a small amount of black wool. The knit side will be the right side.
